Niz predavanj o japonskem filmu

Prihodnji teden bo na Oddelku za azijske študije gostoval doc. dr. Giacomo Calorio z Univerze Milano-Bicocca (Università di Milano-Bicocca), ki bo predaval o japonskem filmu.

dr. Giacomo Calorio je diplomiral iz japonskega jezika in književnosti na Univerzi v Torinu z diplomsko nalogo o režiserju Kurosawi Kiyoshiju. V času študija je bil eden od ustanoviteljev kulturnega združenja neo(N)eiga, prvega italijanskega portala, namenjenega sodobnemu japonskemu filmu, in sodeloval z Nacionalnim filmskim muzejem v Torinu pri več pobudah, povezanih z japonskim filmom. Pozneje je na Univerzi v Genovi doktoriral iz digitalne humanistike. Njegova raziskovalna področja so kinematografija in japonska vizualna kultura ter prevajanje mang. Je avtor več monografij o japonskem filmu.

Trenutno je docent na Univerzi Milano-Bicocca, kjer poučuje japonski jezik in kulturo. Pred tem je štiri leta poučeval prevajanje mang na Oddelku za tuje jezike in književnosti ter sodobne kulture Univerze v Torinu, magistrski tečaj prevajanja, in dve leti japonski jezik na Univerzi v Bergamu, Oddelek za tuje jezike, književnosti in kulture. Je tudi član uredniškega odbora akademske revije Cinergie - Il cinema e le altre arti.
