About the library
The Library of the Department of Musicology is the central Slovenian musicological library. Its origin is linked to the establishment of the Department of Musicology in 1961 and its opening to the first academic year at the Faculty of Arts a year later. It is now affiliated with the Central Humanities Library of the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, which consists of the libraries of individual departments of the Faculty of Arts.

Material
The library holds musicological literature for pedagogical and scientific research work. Its collection comprises 23,000 units (12,100 units of non-book material and 10,900 units of book material).
