The students are aquainted with basic terminology in mythology, relationship between myth and ritual, myth and religion, myth and literature. They become familiar with the characteristics and main types of myths, especially Indo-European. They become familiar with various methods of studying myth. They become familiar with contemporary research in Slavic mythology.
