The course takes into account a broader philosophical approach to the aesthetical problems in music. The main emphasis is on the analysis of changes in the musical-philosophical and musical-aesthetical thoughts in their chronological and logical succession considering their content links and directions. Different aesthetical-theoretical concepts of music are explained with regard to their individual realisations within certain spiritual-historical conditions. All this is connected with the analysis of musical facts in their historical context with the division of key concepts of musical thought, evaluation criteria, normative systems, relationships toward the creative and receptive process etc.
