Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tanja Merčun Kariž

Dr. Tanja Merčun Kariž is an Assistant professor at the Department of Library and Information Science and Book Studies at the University of Ljubljana. After finishing her undergraduate studies, she worked as a young researcher and obtained her PhD in Information Science in 2012 with the thesis “Visualization of results and navigation support in user interfaces of bibliographic information systems”.  She is currently the Head of the Department of Library and Information Sicence and teached courses on research methods, information retrieval systems and organization of information resources.

Her research focuses on the design and evaluation of bibliographic information systems, the application of FRBR/LRM to bibliographic user interfaces of information system, user experience research, and methods for evaluation of library services and information systems.
